Our Mission & Impact

At the heart of the Mom I’m Fine Project lies a simple conviction: education and environment are inseparable. Every child deserves a safe place to learn and dream, and every piece of plastic waste can be transformed into an opportunity for change.   

Education
We build schools for underprivileged children, providing them with access to art, sports, and well-being programs. These spaces are designed not only for learning, but also for building confidence, creativity, and community.
 

Environment
Our schools are constructed from recycled plastic, giving a second life to waste that would otherwise pollute our planet. For the first school in Mexico, locals gathered plastic, and an international contest brought together 200 architect teams from across the world to design the structure.
 

A Collective Achievement
The journey to completion was not without challenges. The global pandemic and two hurricanes delayed construction and forced us to adapt the original plans, which were initially designed to use even more recycled plastic. Yet, thanks to the resilience of the community and the support of hundreds of donors, the school opened in 2021.
 

Over 100,000 plastic bottle caps were transformed into colorful art installations with the help of an international artist, turning waste into a source of beauty and inspiration.
 

Innovation for the Future
We are committed to constantly improving our approach. In partnership with UNICEF, we tested a pioneering construction system made of 100% recycled plastic bricks and blocks. This innovation combines environmental impact with structural strength, insulating power, and modular design. It will be at the heart of our next generation of schools, scaling our mission from one community to many.
 

Looking Ahead
Our goal is to replicate this model worldwide. With each new school, we reduce plastic waste, create opportunities for children, and inspire a global community to take part in meaningful change.
